Me And My Adopted Goshawk
Here is a shot of me with the Northern Goshawk I adopted at Hawk Ridge, he is a hatch year male caught and banded by the Hawk Ridge banding station, if you catch him in the future his band number is 2206-56317. These are very powerful birds and you can feel that when you're hanging onto one before you have to release it, they are also very loud screamers, when the naturalist pulled it out of the transport container it really started screaming.
Unfortunately I received the following letter below on January 13th, 2005 about this birds death, the map with the red arrow shows the location the bird was found..
